The UK Government has committed £12 billion of investment to Green Growth including £1 billion dedicated to the research, development and innovation needed to achieve net zero. This includes a £206 million fund for maritime decarbonisation innovation through the UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions (UKSHORE).

The UK’s progressive regulatory climate encourages innovation and supports companies with projects both afloat and shoreside. The UK has committed to building an innovative, green economy, and is delivering this through projects such as the National Hydrogen Strategy and the Science and Technology Framework.
