Dress Code: Smart Casual

Date: Tuesday, 19th November 2024

Time: 14:30 – 19:30 HKT

Where: Hong Kong Maritime Museum

Agenda for the Seminar

Session 1 - Counterparty compliance in a complex trading environment

This panel will explore how counterparties can ensure compliance, in a world of regional and international decarbonisation regulation, increasingly onerous ESG requirements from stakeholders in the shipping value chain and ambitious, complex sanctions regimes.

Session 2 - The advantages of operating assets from a mature maritime jurisdiction

This panel will explore whether the shipping industry’s increasing focus on value rather than cost. The changes in global tax norms and the need for corporate transparency are leading shipping interests to consider their corporate structures and how shipping clusters can capitalise on these trends in the market.
